Selection Criteria

What does it take to become a MAD Model?

MODEL Selection Criteria

MAD Agency is well known for its gorgeous models that in their style, appearance and professionalism are some of the finest in Second Life.  This crtieria will also help you prepare for future MAD Agency recruitments.

The following elements are assessed when deciding to employ and retain the models on our Agency books:

APPEARANCE

· SKIN – Original creator only,  high quality skins or at least skins that photograph well will only be accepted. Realistic facial and body details, shading. coloration. photosource textures. Absolutely no pirated , cloned or copied skins.

· SHAPE – well proportioned, good facial features, modifiable shapes are required.

· EYES – realistic design and size, good reflections, smaller iris and natural color. NO: default brown eyes, bright unnatural design/color eyes, no twinkle.

· HAIR – good selection of hair especially for women, styles that vary from elegant to casual and unusual. Try to get the most natural looking hair in terms of texture, style and color but do try to experiment also.

STYLE

· PERSONAL STYLE – it is not how much and what you have,  it is how you wear it and how you combine the elements to reflect a certain style.

· ACCESSORIES – too much bling will simply blind us to seeing  your beauty – less is more.

· OVERALL LOOK – how does it all tie together, are you unique or just another cookie cutter model?

PRESENTATION/ PROFESSIONALISM

· FIRST IMPRESSIONS – count! How you present to us when we first meet you is most likely how you will present to our clients when we send you on assignments.

· PROFESSIONALISM – in your interview with MAD Agency you will be asked a series of questions and will be judged on your ability to communicate effectively and professionally in polite and appropriate manner.  Punctuality is also very high on our list of priorities.

· PRESENTATION – includes your profile, name you selected (yes we are known to reject people based on silly names they have), as well as other professions you do (escorting is not to be advertised in your profile at any point – random checks are done ongoing even when you are selected to join the Agency) We are not interested in: slaves, escorts, people with inappropriate profiles. You will be representing the company so your profile needs to be able to reflect that.

· NO sexual attachments are to be worn on your body at any time (even if it is made invisible), bling, poofers, smile, lighting systems, silly overrides, inappropriate gestures or floating text.

EXPERIENCE/ PERSONALITY

· EXPERIENCE – some level of skill and experience is required. We usually hold auditions to determine runway skill levels. Experiences in runway, photography, advertising/promotion can improve your chances of being hired. We require that you be at least 6 months in the game prior to hiring.

Important: Due to conflicts of interest and loyalties, we do not hire or retain models who hold staff positions at other modelling agencies. We also avoid hiring models belonging to 4 or more modelling agencies.

· SKILLS: basic proficiency in using camera controls, adjusting hair/attachments, modifying shape, creating override etc. are held in high regard.

· PERSONALITY – no one likes drama in Second Life. SL is place of fun, creativity and escape. Bad attitude, complacency, harassment, racism or any form slander and discrimination will not be tolerated. We are looking for people that are vibrant, happy and fun. People that communicate well and have personality that can shine through their avatars. A positive attitude is definitely a plus!

· AVAILABILITY – If you have been with MAD Agency for several months or more and you have not attended a casting or been in a show, your position in the agency is not guaranteed. We need models to be available and  working.  When casting calls are set, we understand that not everyone is available, but over time you should be attending castings and walking in shows. We regularly monitor the current model roster for participation.

• LANGUAGE – we pride ourselves on diversity – in saying that, you need to speak English good enough to be able to follow instructions.
